Planting and Strengthening Accredited Christian Schools

Purpose of the Partnership

The Northwest Christian Schools Association (NCSA partners with local churches to prayerfully establish, support, and sustain accredited Christian schools that advance the mission of Christ-centered education. Together, we seek to disciple students, support families, and serve communities through biblically faithful, academically excellent schools.

Shared Vision

NCSA and partner churches share a commitment to:

  • Advancing the Gospel through Christian education
  • Discipling students to follow Christ in every area of life
  • Supporting families as primary disciplers of their children
  • Establishing schools that are accredited, standards-aligned, and professionally led
  • Serving the local community with integrity, excellence, and faithfulness

Partnership Model

Church partnerships are collaborative and mission-driven, recognizing distinct but complementary roles.

Role of the Church

The partner church may provide one or more of the following, as God leads and capacity allows:

  • Spiritual Covering & Mission Alignment
    • Prayer, pastoral support, and theological oversight
    • Alignment with biblical doctrine and discipleship priorities
  • Community & Ministry Support
    • Connection to families, volunteers, and ministry networks
    • Promotion of the school within the church and community
  • Facilities & Resources (as available)
    • Use of church facilities or land
    • Shared resources, equipment, or meeting spaces
  • Governance Participation
    • Representation on the school governing board (as appropriate)
    • Collaboration in vision-setting and mission accountability

Role of NCSA

NCSA provides expertise, structure, and ongoing support to ensure the school is sustainable and missionally strong, including:

  • School Planting & Launch Support
    • Feasibility assessment and planning
    • Governance and leadership framework development
    • Policies, procedures, and operational systems
  • Accreditation & Compliance
    • Accreditation through NCSA and Cognia
    • Alignment with state academic standards
    • Guidance on compliance and continuous improvement
  • Leadership & Staffing
    • Support in hiring qualified leadership
    • Emphasis on certified and qualified educators
    • Ongoing professional development and coaching
  • Curriculum & Instruction
    • Biblically integrated curriculum frameworks
    • Instructional systems aligned with academic excellence
    • Assessment and improvement planning
  • Ongoing Training & Support
    • Access to NCSA training, certification tracks, and resources
    • Coaching for administrators, teachers, and boards
    • Continued consultation as the school grows

All school planting partnerships are entered prayerfully, seeking God’s guidance, timing, and provision. NCSA and partner churches commit to ongoing prayer throughout planning, launch, and operation.
